Dr. Kelani: EIPICO will establish a new Bio- preparations Plant at a cost of 1.2 billion L.E. soon.
Dr. Kelani: I expect an investment increasing in the health sector and gathering among companies to create integration groups.
Dr. Ahmed Kelani- Chairman and Managing Director of Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries company (EIPICO), said that the company- within the coming days - will introduce Epifluovir - Favipiravir 200 mg- known internationally as "Avigan" – that used for coronavirus patients treatment, after releasing- passing the efficiency and quality tests made by the Official Egyptian pharmaceutical control laboratories.
Dr. Kelani announced during the interview with Masrawy – Press News - that the product will be launched through Ministry of Health and the Unified Procurement Authority. It is expected that the company will start producing another product for Corona treatment,” Remicovir “ Remdesivir 100 mg , soon, after obtaining the approvals of the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Drug Authority.
EIPICO company produces, heat-reducing preparations “ Cetal “ (Paracetamol), anti-inflammatory” Dexamethasone ampoule, Antibiotics Epizithro (Azithromycin), vitamins, immune-enhancing drugs, Cevitil effervescent tablets (vitamin C), Ferrofol vit zinc, and Eye Drops.
Since 1985, EIPICO has been started in the production of medical drugs- producing about 596 pharmaceutical preparations covering 25 therapeutic groups, and owns two Plants in 10th of Ramadan City. Its market share - about 21% of the total exports of medicines from Egypt, in addition to 129 products under registration, including medicines for Hepatoviruses, Anesthesia, and drops.
