Factory 2 was launched in 2013 to fulfil the evergrowing demand of both national and international markets.
The production facilities have been designed to cope with the latest cGMP and WHO regulations.
The site's main production building contains 6 Manufacturing Departments which are: Sterile Hormones and Corticosteroids, Sterile Eye Drops, Tablets, Effervescent granules, Syrup and Suspension and Semi-solid Departments.
Sterile Products Area
Sterile Hormones Department
It manufactures various hormones (Ampoules and Vials), which are vital products for a wide range of patients, especially patients with delayed reproduction as well as patients with arthritis and asthma.
Very high technical methods are used in the preparation, packaging and lyophilization operations and are at the highest level of quality.
Sterile Eye Drops Department
The main task is the production of multiple-dose sterile eye drops (5 ml and 15 ml) through three steps: Preparation, Filling and Packaging. Preparation includes dispensing raw materials, preparation in 500 L tanks, sterile filtration by 0.22-micron filter, autoclaving the utensils to use in sterile areas - CIP, SIP unit for the tanks.
Non Sterile Products Area
Tablets Department
It gathers between fully automated and manual production lines to obtain high flexibility in production and packaging processes with high tech inspection and safety systems operated by well-trained staff providing high productivity and following cGMP guidelines and safety measures for both humans and the environment.
Effervescent Granules Department
The working environment is automatically monitored and controlled (RH, Temperature, Differential pressure) by a computerized system to achieve the maximum working conditions, as the effervescent granules are very sensitive to humidity.
Syrup and Suspension Department
"Totally automated systems" is our production technique where we have 2 lines, one for the syrup and the other for suspension.
The 2 lines are designed to work automatically from the preparation stage to the final packaging stage by well-trained technicians and supervisors.
Semi-Solid Department
It produces many types of semi-solid products (e.g. creams, ointments and gels).
We have one automated line (Preparation, Filling and Packaging machines).
Inline production processes are carried out according to the latest regulations of cGMP in an occupational healthy and safe environment providing maximum safety of workers and machinery.
