EIPICO- Pharmaceutical Company - is standing beside home Country to confront the Corona epidemic.
EIPICO is establishing the New Plant – EIPICO 3 - for the production of Bio-products and biological alternatives. Which is considered as a huge step of developing The Egyptian pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Ahmed Kelani - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of – Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries Company “EIPICO “, which considered as the largest subsidiary of Company: Arab Company for Drug Industries & Medical Appliances “ACDIMA" – announced that EIPICO staying beside all authorities of Egypt in order to face Corona epidemic. It is in the framework of full awareness of the national and social responsibility of EIPICO Company Toward Egyptian citizens.
To provide the necessary pharmaceutical products for Egyptian People. As we realize that patients cannot wait until this crisis is over, because Medicine, which saves many lives must continue to be produced. So, we should provide important medicines such as antibiotics, heart drugs, anti-allergic drugs, eye diseases drugs and others to all citizens. We cannot - at any way - delay in providing medicines to them. EIPICO is ready to produce any medicine requested by the Ministry of Health to overcome this pandemic. So that we work in whole our capacity.
EIPICO occupied first place – the Top of 155 pharmaceutical companies in Egypt -in terms of the number of medicines packs in March this year - the month of the beginning of the crisis in Egypt.
The most widely distributed preparation in Egyptian market is "Cetal " – Paracetamol – one of EIPICO’s products (for its efficiency, quality and cheap price). The number of packs produced in the first quarter of this year is about 95 million packs. We work together with the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Drug Authority to coordinate between our obligations to provide medicines to our citizens, as well as fulfillment of export-abroad according to contracts obligation.
Dr. Kelani added that: Last year, we provided the Ministry of Health about half a million packs - representing about 40% of the C virus treatment product- to distribute to Egyptian citizens, which contributed to the success of the Public health campaign named -100 million Health Care.
